Sweet Sisterhood is a Toledo-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to breaking cycles of trauma, poverty, and systemic exclusion by equipping women with the tools to heal, reclaim their independence, and thrive.
We understand trauma is not just a single event—it’s the compounded impact of structural barriers, lack of opportunity, and generational adversity. Many women we serve have faced:
✔ Homelessness & Poverty – Cycles of financial instability that make self-sufficiency feel impossible.
✔ Violence & Exploitation – From domestic abuse to sex trafficking and survival-based work.
✔ Systemic Exclusion – The reality that not coming from a privileged background means fewer doors open.
✔ Generational Trauma – Cycles of neglect, addiction, and broken support systems.

Our Vision
Sweet Sisterhood envisions a world where women are empowered to step into their purpose, create generational change, and lead with confidence.
Women are not defined by adversity, shame, or trauma. No amount of domestic violence, crime, homelessness, or systemic exclusion can erase their power to rise, heal, and rebuild.
Sweet Sisterhood aims to connect women with a home base—where confidentiality, resources, and empowerment go hand-in-hand. We believe that support is not one-size-fits-all, and every woman deserves access to a community and tools that fit her journey.
This mission is bigger than one organization. Sweet Sisterhood believes in collaboration—working alongside top leaders, advocates, and change-makers who are breaking barriers and creating solutions for real, lasting impact.
Sweet Sisterhood is more than support; it is a movement toward leadership, self-sufficiency, and transformation.
